Neither Alec nor Margaret were good with heights and were not keen on flying, so all our holidays were spend in the UK.  A lot of our early holidays were spent in North Wales, as both their mothers were still living there.  We also quite bit of the West Midlands as Mum still had family there, eventually pitching our touring caravan on a site for the whole season for quite a few years.  Later, they upgrading from a touring caravan to a static caravan in Humberside.  I still don't know why Humberside.  This meant that if we went anywhere else, we staying in holiday cottages.
